“It is not fortuitous”: Juan Francisco Puello applauds the increase in public attendance in Puerto Rican winter baseball

Miami Florida – The president of the Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation (CBPC), Juan Francisco Puello, applauded the increase in fan attendance during the 2023-24 season of the Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League (LBPRC) In Puerto Rico.

According to the local league, some 390,000 fans were present throughout the campaign that saw the Criollos de Caguas win their 21st championship.

“For me, it is not fortuitous,” Puello told The new day in the middle of the celebration of the Caribbean Series 2024 in Miami.

“In the case of (Juan) Tony Flores (president of the LBPRC), who for me is a person who means a lot, I believe that work has been done on this, little by little. Let me tell you, in the years that I entered, that he was president of the Dominican league, (Puerto Rico) was the main league in every sense,” Puello noted.
