Panama finishes in third place and with a comeback its participation in the Caribbean Series

Miami- A home run by Ivan Herrera crowned Panama’s comeback on Friday, which beat Curacao 5-4 and took third place in the Caribbean Series.

The Curacao Suns had taken the lead in the third inning, when Roger Bernadina drove in a run with a single. Jonathan Schoop followed with a two-run home run to make the score 4-1 in favor of the Curacao residents.

Down by three scores in the fourth inning, the Chiriqui Federales got closer thanks to a ground ball by Ricardo Cespedes that allowed Ruben Tejada to score, and an RBI single by Joshwan Wright.

The tie came in the sixth inning, when Wright himself responded with a sacrifice fly. This left the stage ready for Herrera to respond in the seventh.
