Superior Volleyball: the Mets achieve their second victory of the season by beating the Criollas again

The Mets of Guaynabo (2-7) scored their second victory of the season of the Women’s Superior Volleyball League (LVSF) by defeating the Criollas of Caguas (5-4) again in five sets on the Roger Mendoza del Valle court from Turabo.

Guaynabo fell in the first two sets 20-25 and 17-25, however, they came back and won the next three sets that ended, 27-25, 25-21 and 15-6.

This is the first victory for the Mets under the direction of Jose Mieles, and they leave the basement with seven points for sixth place in the table.

Guaynabo, which did not have its captain Karina Ocasio after being injured in Friday’s game, had reinforcement Haley Bush as its best scorer with 26 points. She was followed by Naya Gross with 20 points and Norian Ceballos with 18 points.

For Caguas, Treyaunna Rush scored 18 points and Nia Parker-Robinson 14 points.
