0,000 loan and Bad Bunny concert tickets: MLB Players Association details Rima Sports violations

The Baseball Players Association Big leagues alleged that employees of the sports representation firm of Bad Bunny provided improper incentives to dozens of players, causing the union to decertify an agent and issue a fine.

Rimas Sports, under its corporate name Diamond Sports LLC, sued the union in Federal District Court in San Juan last month, accusing the Association of violating Puerto Rico’s general tort claim and of tortious interference with its contracts to represent to the players.

The union issued a disciplinary notice to Rimas officers William Arroyo, Noah Assad and Jonathan Miranda on April 10 and fined them $400,000 for misconduct. Arroyo was a union-certified player agent and represented Mets catcher Francisco Alvarez and his teammate Ronny Mauricio. Arroyo was decertified and the other two were told they could not apply for certification.
