Ethio Telecom officially launched the fifth generation (5G) mobile network service. 5G mobile network service has been shown to have high speeds of up to 10 gigabytes per second.
At the official launch ceremony, Ethio Telecom CEO Frehiwot Tamiru said that the use of 5G service will improve the experience of customers by easily providing digital solutions that will make life easier for our society.
This 5G network service has expanded its reach in Addis Ababa and has been made available to users, the chief executive officer of the institution Ms. Frehiwot Tamiru said at the official press conference held today. According to the CEO, in Ethiopia, 5G network expansion has been done at 145 sites in Addis Ababa, and 630,000 customers have announced that they have a device to use this service.
Among the places where this service is extended are from Cross Square to Bole Airport; From Meskel Square Junction CMC as well as the road leading to Summit; From the cross to 4 kilos and 6 kilos; It is said that the areas where this infrastructure has been laid are from the Meskel Square, Mexico Sare House, and Ledata from the Meskel Square to Lehare Churchill Street.
