A 40-year-old man died last night in a traffic accident reported in Fajardo, police reported.
In a press release, the Uniformed Police identified the driver of the vehicle as Yoel Cruz Taveraswho died instantly and under circumstances that remain under investigation.
The events were reported at 9:35 pm yesterday, Thursday, on Osvaldo Molina Avenue, in front of the fast food restaurant, Burger King, in said town.
According to preliminary information, Cruz Taveras was driving the GMC brand vehicle, Hummer model, white in color and from the year 2022, on the aforementioned road “at a speed greater than permitted.”
According to the Police, the driver “lost control and control of the steering wheel, impacting the Aqueduct and Sewer Authority substation.”
Agent Olga Cordero Gonzalez and prosecutor Pedro Vargas took charge of the investigation.
