A 61-year-old man who allegedly attacked a paramedic in Morovis is arrested

A 61-year-old man and resident of Morovis was arrested on Sunday night, after he allegedly attacked a 51-year-old paramedic in the Gotay sector of the Unibon neighborhood, in the aforementioned town, reported the Puerto Rico Police Bureau.

According to a press release from the Uniformed Police, the events occurred on November 18, 2023 when, in the early morning hours, Jose A. Martinez Gonzalez He requested emergency medical services. When the paramedics arrived, the accused, without saying a word and using a machete, allegedly attacked Nelson Cabrera Duran in the face, who was then transported to the Medical Center in Rio Piedras.

After evaluating the evidence, Judge Michelle Camacho Nieves, of the Court of First Instance of Arecibo, determined cause for arrest for the crimes of attempted attenuated murder and violation of the Weapons Law (carrying and using edged weapons).
