A septuagenarian dies after being run over by her husband in the marquee of her residence in Bayamon

A septuagenarian died this afternoon, Tuesday, after allegedly being run over by her husband in the awning of her residence, in the Rexville neighborhood in Bayamonthe police reported.

According to a preliminary report from the Uniformed Police, a call through the 9-1-1 Emergency System alerted authorities about the incident. When the police precinct officers of said municipality showed up, they found the lifeless body of the woman, who was identified as Nilma S. Estrada Colon, 77 years old.

The report also adds that it was her own husband, identified as Jose Torres Ortiz, 78 years old, who filed the complaint, indicating that he lost control of his vehicle, a bus Mitsubishi Montero, gray and green, from 1999.

The case was referred to agents from the Homicide Division of the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of Bayamon, together with the prosecutor on duty.
