About 100 agents run to honor Eliezer Ramos Velez, the police officer murdered in Carolina

With flags of Puerto Rico and the United States waving in their hands, a hundred agents from different state and federal agencies gathered on Tuesday night at the track of the Guillermo Angulo complex, in Carolina, to run in honor of Sgt. Eliezer Ramos Velezwho was murdered in the early hours of Good Friday on the grounds of the public residential complex Savannah Below in said municipality.

Between the color black, white and blue and under the insignia “Blue Lives Matter”, the officers ran a mile alongside the personnel of the Puerto Rico Police Bureau. The race was held simultaneously with the one run by the young founder of “Running 4 Heroes”, Zechariah Cartledge, in the state of Floridato honor the life of Ramos Velez.

According to the Uniformed Police, state police from the areas of Carolina, Caguas, and Humacao participated in the event. Likewise, agents from the Bureau of Special Investigations (NIE), the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DCR), the United States Marshals Service, of the Athletics Program of the municipal government of Carolina and the municipal police of Bayamon, Caguas and Vega Alta.
