Aibonito Judicial Center announces operational changes due to lack of water service

He Aibonito Judicial Center announced several operational adjustments on Tuesday afternoon due to an interruption in the drinking water service on the campus.

The in-person hearings will be rescheduled, the administrative director of the Courts, Sigfrido Steidel Figueroa. However, those cases scheduled for the afternoon in the videoconference mode will be attended to as indicated.According to the document.

Likewise, the Aibonito Investigation Room will operate this afternoon from the other courts of that judicial region, located in Comerio, Orocovis and Coamo. Paper documents can also be presented from these same courts.

On the other hand, the statement indicates that protection orders, requests for involuntary admission for mental health and other urgent matters of municipal jurisdiction may be requested through the system of judges on duty from the headquarters of the Police nearest or, electronically, from the Virtual Municipal Room from 1:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Likewise, it was reported that the Unified Case Management and Administration System (SUMAC) is in place to process civil cases electronically.
