Arizona charges 18 people for electoral interference in the 2020 presidential election

phoenix —An investigative jury of Arizona formally accused Mark Meadows, former chief of staff of the White House of donald trumpand lawyer Rudy Giuliani along with 16 other people in a trial for electoral interference.

The indictment released Wednesday accuses 11 Republicans who filed a document with the Congress in which they falsely declared that Trump defeated Joe Biden in Arizona in the 2020 presidential election. It includes seven other defendants whose names were not immediately released because they had not yet been notified of the charges.

The Associated Press was able to determine the identities of the unnamed defendants based on descriptions of them in the indictment.

One is described as a lawyer “who was frequently identified as the mayor,” and spread false allegations that election fraud was committed, a description that clearly fits Giuliani. Another is described as Trump’s “2020 chief of staff.” Meadows held that position.
