BSN: Giants end the Criollos’ seven-game winning streak

Alexander Franklin scored a 3-pointer with 18 seconds left to give the Carolina Giants98-96, against the hot ones Caguas Creoles at the Guillermo Angulo Coliseum.

The victory of the defending champions ended a streak of seven wins for the Criollos, who arrived at “Carola” with the best record of the 2024 tournament in the National Superior Basketball (BSN).

Caguas dropped to second place in Section B with 7-2, behind the Guaynabo Mets (6-1), who host San German on Friday after more than a week of rest.

The Giants, for their part, stopped a streak of three losses. Now, they play 3-6, last in Section B.

Consecutive triples by Travis Trice and Alexander Kappos gave Caguas the lead 96-95 with 38 seconds left in the game.
