BSN: Mets dominate the Cowboys in the return of Angel Rodriguez

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson had a double-double of 24 points and 11 rebounds before leaving the game for unsportsmanlike fouls and the Mets defeated the Bayamon Vaqueros 82-69 at the Mario “Quijote” Morales Coliseum on Friday.

The leader’s metropolitan quintet Jose Juan Barea improved to 13-9, retaking first place in Section B of the National Superior Basketball (BSN) above the Criollos de Caguas (12-9).

Against Bayamon they play 4-1 in the regular phase. They will see each other for the last time next Tuesday at the Ruben Rodriguez Coliseum.

The Cowboys remain in the basement of Section B 9-15. Bayamon fell despite the return of point guard Angel Rodriguez, who was limited on the court due to an accumulation of fouls. He finished with three points and six assists in 15 minutes of play.

Rodriguez will leave the team for Florida for the birth of his first daughter.
