The champions Mocha Explosives They punched their ticket to the postseason National Superior Basketball (BSNF) with Sunday’s 81-77 victory over the Morovis Mountaineers at the Jose “Pepe” Huyke Coliseum.
In the third quarter, Alexis Jennings gave the Explosives the largest lead, 54-38, with 6:01 on the clock.
The period ended 64-48 with Moca’s advantage. But in the last quarter, the Montaneras reacted with a 10-2 advance and got closer to 79-77 with eight seconds left. However, Mocha prevailed.
The Explosivas close the regular season with a 9-7 record. Meanwhile, Morovis finishes with 6-10.
Jennings led the way with 33 points, followed by N’Dea Jones with 19 and 10 rebounds. Jacky Benitez added 18 points. In the loss, Chelsea Mitchell scored 26 points.
On the other hand, the Santurce crab shops they won 69-43 at Isabela’s chicks at the Roberto Clemente Coliseum.
With the victory, Santurce sealed his place in the postseason.

The Cangrejeras had absolute control of the match, where they dominated the second quarter 11-4 to win the first half 30-19. In the fourth quarter, with a basket by Ariel Gonzalez, Santurce had the biggest advantage of the match (69-43) with 1:27 on the clock.
The Cangrejeras had the contribution of the reserve players who scored 39 points. Mari Placido was the best with 19 points and Jada Stinson followed her with 12. For Isabela, Ariana Moorer was the best with 15 points.
The BSNF concludes its regular season on Tuesday with two games on the schedule where the Ganaderas de Hatillo will visit Isabela. The Cangrejeras, for their part, travel to the Guillermo Angulo Coliseum to face the Carolina Giants.
Both games are scheduled for 8:00 p.m.
