Carlos Correa continues to sew the ball in June with the Twins

Seattle – Cal Raleigh drove in the winning run with a fielder’s choice in the tenth inning and The Seattle Mariners defeated the Minnesota Twins 3-2 on Friday.

Raleigh hit an infield grounder to Twins reliever Cole Sands (2-1), who threw home to try to prevent JP Crawford from scoring. His shot was high so Crawford arrived safely.

The Twins’ only two runs were produced by the Puerto Rican’s hot bat, Carlos Correawho the day before had left the game in the seventh after receiving a hit to the right wrist against Arizona.

Correa hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning to continue his torrid offensive in June. During this month, he has five of his nine home runs of the season with 21 RBIs and a batting average of .394.
