Colombia survived with numerical inferiority throughout the second half and, thanks to another goal assist from James Rodriguezreached the final of the America Cup after beating on Wednesday 1-0 Uruguay.

Yefferson Lerma’s header in the 39th minute was enough for Colombia to extend its streak of consecutive games without losing to 29, a record in the history of the Colombian national team.

Colombia held on with 10 men after right-back Daniel Munoz was sent off in first-half stoppage time after receiving a second yellow card.

In a rough match that included seven yellow cards and a red card for Munoz, the players ended up pushing each other on the pitch after the whistle and several Uruguayan players, including Darwin Nunez, got into a fight with fans wearing the traditional yellow Colombian shirts.
