As she shared through a video on her Instagram account, the “despairing wait” did not let the talented young woman sleep, due to the “super important news.”
“In several interviews I had mentioned that I was leaving Puerto Rico because I was moving to New York. “That is why the play I am directing is like a goodbye, a gift to Puerto Rico before I leave,” indicated Didi Romero, referring to her comic piece “For the love of the gods,” that will reach the stage of Tapia Theater in Old San Juan next November 3rd.
Visibly excited, the daughter of singer and presenter Deddie Romero and the granddaughter of veteran conguera Sonia Lopez, revealed to her followers what she will be doing from the Big Apple. “I’m going to New York because I’m going to fulfill a goal, a dream… I’m going to return to ‘Six’ The Musical, but now I’m going to do it on Broadway, in New York.”
Last year, the multifaceted Puerto Rican performed eight weekly performances of the Broadway production, “Six” in more than 40 cities in the United States, that now, it will stay on Broadway.
The young woman assured that the news “I cant believe it yet. “You are going to accompany me to this new experience, which I have always dreamed of.”
“I’ve tried to make this video so many times and I don’t even know how to say things. And I think this is the best way, spit it out and that’s it. Thank you for so much support, so much love.
