Double A Baseball: the Baseball Federation suspends Juan “Igor” Gonzalez for two games for the altercations in Camuy

The Puerto Rico Baseball Federation (FBPR) suspended the leader of the Toritos de Cayey in the Double A Superior Baseball League, Juan “Igor” Gonzalez, for two games on Wednesday, after the altercations that occurred on Saturday at the Juan Francisco Stadium “Cheo” Lopez de Camuy.

According to the Federation’s statements, Gonzalez violated Article 8.01, paragraph 20, of the sports entity’s regulations, which establishes that “any attack on a referee, representative or official of the Federation, will immediately incapacitate the aggressor to participate in activities sponsored by the Federation and a hearing will be held within the next five days, where the director, after hearing evidence, may impose any punishment he deems necessary and appropriate. Spitting, grabbing, stepping on, kicking, biting or pushing with your hands or belly will be considered aggression. Throwing or throwing dirt at the referee will also be considered aggression, as long as it makes contact with him.”
