Dubai airport limits incoming flights due to ‘operational challenges’

Cairo – He dubai international airportthe second busiest in passenger traffic in the world, announced this Friday that will limit incoming flights for 48 hours due to “operational challenges”while preparations continue for a complete reopening after the heavy rains that affected United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the last days.

“It has been decided to limit the number of incoming flights temporarily starting at noon today, April 19, for a period of 48 hours, due to operational challenges, while Departure flights will continue to operate as normal“said the facility’s managing entity, Dubai Airports, in a statement.

He noted that the authorities and “teams are doing everything possible to provide full support to passengers who are affected by flight delays due to recent unprecedented weather conditions”.

Dubai Airports announced on Thursday that the airport began its reopening after two days of disruption and closure due to heavy rains, the heaviest in several decades, which paralyzed the UAE and other Arab countries in the Persian Gulf.
