Electoral commissioner of Proyecto Dignidad requests reconsideration of the ruling that disqualified a candidate for the House of Representatives

The electoral commissioner of Dignity Project, Nelson Rosarioasked the Court of First Instance to reconsider the ruling that disqualified the candidate from that match to House of Representatives for the 38th district, Stephen Gil Alamofor not submitting endorsement requests.

One of Rosario’s main arguments is that Proyecto Dignidad was not included as a defendant, despite the fact that, he noted, it was “indispensable” in the lawsuit in which, on March 21, Judge Anthony Cuevas Ramos also disqualified five candidates from Citizen Victory Movement (MVC).

“The non-inclusion of an indispensable party in the lawsuit constitutes an inalienable defense, which can be presented at any time during the process, because it affects the jurisdiction of the Court”reads the 31-page document, which also states that the party “would be harmed if that candidate is eliminated.”
