The Federal Prosecutor’s Office alleged that the accused as the alleged leader of a drug trafficking gang that operated in Ponce made a confession in a phone call he made from prison last week.

Armando Alicea Santiago He is the main defendant in a charge issued by a federal Grand Jury against 60 people who were supposedly part of an organization that would have generated $123 million since 2016 after controlling the drug points of five residential areas in the southern part of the Island.

In a motion presented this Friday, federal prosecutor Richard Vance Eaton indicated that in a call on June 4, from the federal prison in Guaynabo, Alicea made “the comments that lead to proving the point” argued by the Public Ministry so that Alicea Santiago remains in prison until the trial.
