Finalist of Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2021 is crowned as the new Miss Grand United States

Sometimes losing you win. This popular saying or proverb is perfectly known by the young Puerto Rican Stephanie Miranda, finalist for Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2021 and of Our Beauty Puerto Rico 2023, that after losing in both national competitions chose to compete this year in Miss Grand United States and rose with the crown.

Miranda became the new queen of the Miss Grand United States 2023, a contest that was held at the Copernicus Center in Chicago. The young Puerto Rican represented Great Lakes in the contest and after announcing her participation in the contest in the United States, she expressed: “sometimes it is necessary to wait and see what fate has in store for you…!”.

“It is with my heart beating out of my chest that I can announce that I will be competing for the @missgrandunitedstates title as @missgrandgreatlakes. For those of you who have followed my journey, you know how far I have come and how prepared I am for this. Following my heart and my passion, I will bring everything and I will be 100% prepared, ”she communicated seven weeks ago.

Yesterday, Thursday, fate surprised her with victory and validated her perseverance in pursuing her dreams of being a queen. After she won, Miranda revealed that she will proudly represent the United States and especially the Latino community.

Finalist in several local contests

Miranda was one of the five finalists of the Miss Universe Puerto Rico 2021 contest, where Michelle Marie Colon Ramirez, It turned out to be the winner and representative of the island in Miss Universe. Colon Ramirez managed to be one of the ten finalists in the Miss Universe that was held in Jerusalem.

Miranda, for his part, represented the town of Trujillo Alto in the national contest that had some 25 participants.

Miranda also competed this year in the contest Our Beauty Puerto Rico 2023 and She was the first runner-up for the Miss Grand Puerto Rico 2023 title. Miss Grand Puerto Rico 2023 got it Maria Cristina Ramos.

Now Miranda and Ramos will compete again in the Miss Grand International pageant to be held in October.

In addition, in 2020, Miranda competed in the pageant of Miss USA in Memphis, Tennessee, representing the state of Ohio, where the model lived from the age of five after moving from Puerto Rico with her family. On that occasion, she made the final 16 draw, and her crown fell to Asya Danielle Branch.
