Flood warning extended for several municipalities after heavy rains due to the passage of a valley

He National Weather Service (SNM) issued a statement on Wednesday afternoon flood warning for several municipalities due to heavy rains linked to the passage of a trough that will affect Puerto Rico until Friday.

Over the course of the night, the SNM extended the flood warning previously issued for the following municipalities:

-Humacao, Gurabo, Caguas, Juncos, Las Piedras, Naguabo and San Lorenzo: until 10:30 pm

-Ceiba, Fajardo, Loiza, Luquillo, Rio Grande: until 11:00 pm

-San Juan, Bayamon, Carolina, Canovanas, Guaynabo and Trujillo Alto: until 11:00 pm

Meanwhile, the warning for Arroyo, Patillas, Yabucoa and Maunabo expired at 7:15 p.m.

The SNM indicated that, according to Doppler radar estimates, the municipalities in said region received one inch of rain. Likewise, the federal entity did not rule out the accumulation of an additional inch of precipitation.
