The National Meteorological Service (SNM) issued a flood warning for several municipalities due to the precipitation events experienced around the island, the product of a trough and the close passage of Hurricane Tammy through the region.
According to a publication from the agency in X, the municipalities of San Juan, Bayamon, Trujillo Alto and Guaynabo They will be under a flood warning until 3:15 p.m.
Likewise, it was reported that the municipalities of Aguas Buenas, Gurabo, Juncos, Caguas, Las Piedras and San Lorenzo will be under a flood warning until 3:45 p.m..
On Sunday morning, the SNM reported that Puerto Rico would be receiving heavy rain events such as result of a trough over the region, which coincided with the indirect effects of the close passage of Hurricane Tammy through the east of the island.
Earlier, the National Weather Service meteorologist, Lee Ann Englishcommented to this medium that the sectors that will initially feel the rains are the municipalities in the east of Puerto Rico.
“This rain activity will also be helped a little by what has been a trough at high levels that prevails over the region”detailed English.
Likewise, this rain activity is expected to continue moving towards the west and interior of the island as the day goes by.
