Flood warning issued for municipalities in the western zone after heavy rains and thunderstorms

He National Weather Service (SNM) issued, on Thursday afternoon, a flood warning for three municipalities in the western area of ​​Puerto Rico after the formation of rains and thunderstorms that affect the region.

The towns that remain under a flood warning are the following:

  • Lares, Las Marias and Maricao: until 6:00 p.m.

The SNM indicated that, at 4:32 pm, the Doppler radar recorded the fall of between one to two inches of rain in this area. The federal entity also reported that the accumulation of an additional inch of precipitation is expected.
