Haiti remains immersed in violence amid strong clashes between the Police and armed gangs

Prince Port – The capital of Haiti remains immersed this Friday in the violencewith a dozen bodies scattered through the streets, many of them burned, in a week in which clashes between the Police and the armed gangs and when the constitution of the transitional presidential council advances.

Currently the most affected area of the capital is Petion-ville, in the hills of Prince Portwhere more than 30 bodies have been found in less than a week.

This Friday the scenes of the last few days were repeated there, this time in the area of Haut-Delmaswhere the remains of a dozen people were found who, apparently, accompanied the leader of the Delmas 95 gang, known as You Gregkilled on Thursday in his bastion by the Haitian National Police and who had fled the National Penitentiary at the beginning of the month.

EFE was able to see how the bodies – most charred and some piled up – littered the streets, while life went on with a certain normality around them: neighbors walked next to the smoking remains and vehicles avoided them until municipal services arrived, They were loaded on stretchers and put into an ambulance to be buried in a common grave at the cemetery.
