The Department of Justice (DJ) announced that it would be suing 30 former public officials convicted of corruption to recover a total of $30,005,225 that was lost from the public treasury tripled for damages caused by the schemes.

According to the numbers provided by the DJ, the former mayor of Catano, Felix Delgado Montalvomust replace an amount of $1,170,000 to the public treasury, the highest number among the former mayors sued. The convicted businessman Oscar Santamaria Torres was also included in his lawsuit.
