“I feel sad and frustrated”: Juan Carlos Nunez does not hide his disappointment after the early elimination of the Criollas de Caguas

The Creoles of Caguas They said goodbye to the 2024 tournament of the Women’s Superior Volleyball League (LVSF) on Sunday by falling in four sets against the Valencian Juncos in the quarterfinal series, in a season that was described by Creole leader Juan Carlos Nunez as a lot of learning for the group.

However, Nunez also recognized the inconsistency throughout the campaign, something that ended up being decisive.

“We were never able to have an identity as a group. I think it was the most inconsistent team in the tournament,” Nunez noted sadly, who acknowledged that the objectives they had set were met.

The coach explained that the inconsistencies he refers to were due to the players bringing a lot of energy and discipline to practices, but failing to bring that to the games. Nunez understands that being part of a franchise like Caguas, which has 14 championships and the same number of runners-up, two threepeat and a six-time championship, could have been a heavy burden for a young group.
