Jac Caglianone and Jaime Ferrer say goodbye to the World Series of college baseball

The Puerto Ricans Jac Caglianone and Jaime Ferrer They said goodbye to the Division I baseball World Series in the NCAA, after their teams were eliminated in the quarterfinals.

Both are now headed to the Major League Baseball rookie draft in July, after shining in their third year of competition in college baseball.

Caglianone and the University of Florida Gators finished the tournament with a 2-2 record and fell in a sudden-death matchup 6-0 against Texas A&M University.

Against the Aggies they got their first loss 3-2 in the double elimination round. They then beat North Carolina State University 5-4 and the University of Kentucky 15-4.

Caglianone, a projected top-10 pick in the upcoming MLB draft, went 7-for-12 to post a stout .583 average, with four runs scored and four RBIs in four games. The Puerto Rican struck out on one occasion.
