29 days to go Paris 2024 Olympic Gamesthe Puerto Ricans Jasmine Camacho-Quinn and Sebastian Rivera are ready for their two biggest assignments.

First, to carry and walk the Monosestrellada at the opening of the Olympics. Second, to win a gold medal.

In what will be her third Olympic Games, Camacho-Quinn will seek to defend her gold medal won in the 100 meters hurdles Tokyo 2020. Instead, Rivera will try to get her first metal in what will mean her first Olympics.

The Games begin on July 26 and conclude on August 11.

“Honestly, I’m excited. I’m so happy to have been chosen for that. Eight years ago, (it was) my first Olympics, I didn’t even see this happening, so the fact that I was chosen I’m super excited and it means a lot to me to carry the flag at the Olympics. I’m super grateful.”Camacho-Quinn shared via telephone at the presentation of the flag bearers and the uniform of the Puerto Rican delegation, held on Thursday at the Olympic House.
