Jasmine Camacho-Quinn sets record at Croatia’s Hanzekovic Memorial

The Puerto Rican Jasmine Camacho-Quinn He won the 100-meter hurdles at the Hanzekovic Memorial in Zagreb, Croatia, on Sunday, setting a record for the competition.

Camacho-Quinn clocked 12.47 seconds. She surpassed Nadine Visser, (12.64) from the Netherlands, and Pia Skrzyszowska (12.73), from Poland, who finished in second and third position, respectively. In total six runners participated.

The competition in Zagreb belongs to the World Athletics Continental Tour Gold.

Sunday’s race takes place one week before what will be the final of the Diamond League next September 17 in Eugene, Oregon. Skrzyszowska is also among the finalists of the Diamond League.

Camacho-Quinn seeks his first title on the prestigious circuit. On August 24, she won a silver medal at the World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, in what was the only 100-meter hurdles race that he has not won this campaign.
