Jill Biden, first lady of the United States, arrives in Puerto Rico

The first lady of the United States, Jill Bidenarrived on Sunday afternoon at the Luis Munoz Marin International Airport, in Isla Verde, for a brief visit in which he will share with military families at Fort Buchanan, as part of his “Joining Forces” initiative.

The first lady arrived around 1:20 pm on one of the special planes used by the White House, the “Executive One Foxtrot.” and descended from it at the Munoz Air Base, adjacent to the airport, under a mostly sunny sky and quite hot, but also with a pleasant breeze.

Once on land, he greeted the governor Pedro Pierluisi; to the mayor of San Juan, Miguel Romero; to the commander of the air base, colonel Evaristo Orengoof the Air National Guard; Caridad Pierluisi, director of the governor’s executive office; and Fabiola Ansotegui Blancfiancee of the governor.

Subsequently, he went with the delegation that accompanied him to Fort Buchanan, where – in the afternoon – the event with the military families would take place, and where he is expected to make statements to those present, related to his initiative in favor of military families, as well as the commitment of the administration of Joe Biden with the reconstruction of Puerto Rico.
