Joe Biden’s campaign raises more than million after the debate against Donald Trump

WashingtonThe campaign of the president of USA, Joe Bidenhas raised more than $33 million since Thursday’s debate, despite having been declared by polls and the media as the loser of the head-to-head against the former president Donald Trump (2017-2021), according to a member of the campaign told EFE.

Biden, 81, has seen his candidacy as the Democratic candidate for the November elections weakened after the debate in which he appeared physically clumsy and at times hesitant, incoherent and unable to finish a sentence, which has led to polls predicting the Republican as the clear winner.

Various figures of Democratic Partylike the former president Barack Obama (2009-2017) or the former Secretary of State and former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clintonthey have downplayed the matter by describing the face to face as a “bad night”.

According to what the aforementioned campaign member informed EFE, of the $33 million raised, $26 million came from small donations. Furthermore, almost half of that $26 million came from Americans who had decided to help the campaign for the first time.
