Josh Hart records a double-double as the Knicks beat the 76ers in their first playoff game

NY- Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart each scored 22 points and the New York Knicks beat the Philadelphia 76ers 111-104 on Saturday in the first game of their first-round playoff series in the Eastern Conference.

Deuce McBride led a great performance by New York’s reserves, scoring 21 points. He single-handedly outscored the 76ers in the second quarter, scoring 13 points.

In that quarter, Joel Embiid had to leave when he appeared to re-injure his surgically repaired left knee after attempting a dunk.

The star returned and gave the 76ers the lead in the second half. However, Josh Hart hit a pair of 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to help the Knicks put the game away.

Hart also had 13 rebounds for New York, which had lost the first game of its last three open playoff series at home. The second duel is scheduled for Monday.

Embiid finished with 29 points, eight rebounds and six assists. Tyrese Maxey led the 76ers with 33 points.
