Karla Guilfu Acevedo enters the table of the 20 semifinalists of Miss Universe 2023

Karla Inelisse Guilfu AcevedoMiss Universe Puerto Rico 2023 was positioned tonight in the “Top 20” of Miss Universe 2023. The Patillense, who is among the favorites to hold the title, will face 83 other candidates.

The final night is broadcast on the American streaming service The Roku Channelwith simultaneous broadcast in Spanish on the network Telemundo. In Puerto Rico, however, the audience will be able to enjoy the ceremony through Wapa Television.

For this night, the organization opted for the singer, composer and pianist of American origin John Legend as a guest artist, just as he did at the 2010 gala. Likewise, for the second consecutive year, the model and Miss Universe 2012, Olivia Culposerves as host alongside the American television presenter Jeannie Mai.

After the presentation of the candidates, the names of the 20 semi-finalists were announced. They were Miss Nicaragua, Miss Spain, Miss Puerto Rico, Miss Namibia, Miss Venezuela, Miss India.

Guilfu Acevedo was elected as the Puerto Rican representative in Miss Universe 2023 on August 26, 2023, in the Luis A. Ferre Fine Arts Center, in Santurce.

Just minutes after being proclaimed the most beautiful woman on the Isla del Encanto, the model was excited about her return to El Salvador. As part of her path in the world of beautyin 2018, the 25-year-old also represented her land in Miss Teen World, held in the “Pulgarcito de America”.

“I’m ready to go to El Salvador, I feel super excited. I was in El Salvador in a pageant in 2018, a teenage pageant, and I feel that it is all part of God’s divine plan. I will return there and represent my country for the second time,” she revealed.
