A dry and foggy weekend is expected this Saturday and Sunday after a week of intense tropical activity in the Caribbean Sea with the passage of several tropical waves, including the passage south of Puerto Rico of the now extinct Hurricane Beryl.

He National Meteorological Service (NMS) effectively maintains a Heat warning for municipalities on the east coast of the island, including the island municipality of Vieques and Snakewhile a heat warning remains in effect for municipalities on the north, west and south coasts.

Although the Maximum temperature for today, Saturday, is expected to be 92 degrees Fahrenheit (°F) in urban areas, coastal areas and valleys; and the minimum is expected to be around 77 °F in the mountains, Residual moisture accumulated by last week’s tropical phenomena promises heat indices that could reach and exceed 100 °F.
