Luka Doncic scores 33 points and the Mavericks win the first game of the Western final

Minneapolis- Luka Doncic scored 15 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter on Wednesday to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 108-105 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 1 of the Western Conference finals.

Kyrie Irving scored 24 of his 30 points in the first half for the Mavericks, who trailed 102-98 after Anthony Edwards’ 3-pointer with 3:37 left and before an 8-0 Wolves run that didn’t stop. until there were 10.5 seconds left.

Jaden McDaniels had his third game of more than 20 points, scoring 24 for the Wolves. Karl-Anthony Towns came up late with 16 points and finished 6 of 20 from the field.

The Mavericks got what they needed from their leading duo, while the Wolves largely struggled to keep the offense circulating through their own stars.
