LUMA customers experienced more outages last quarter

The average annual duration of electricity service interruptions reached its highest level in March since September 2022, when Puerto Rico experienced the passage of the Hurricane Fionarevealed the quarterly report that LUMA Energy delivered this week to Puerto Rico Energy Bureau (NEPR).

In the 12-month period between April 2023 and March 2024, Network customers remained without service, on average, 1,414 minutes, or the equivalent of almost 24 hours, a figure that is 14 times above industry standards.
