The Judge Adria Cruz Cruz, of the Ponce Courtfound cause for arrest against an individual accused of shooting a barber in the aforementioned municipality.
The accused, identified as Jim Manuel Almodovar Quirindongo40 years old and resident of Ponce, He faces three charges of attempted murder, assault and violation of the Weapons Law, reported the Police Bureau. Due to these complaints, a global bond of $9,000 was set, which he posted.
According to the news report of the Puerto Rico Police Bureauthe events attributed to Almodovar Quirindongo occurred on October 6, in Rio Chiquito, El Coqui sector, in front of the El Conquistador business, in Ponce.
The authorities maintain that, at around 7:54 pm, the injured party, whose name was not revealed, was working as a barber in front of the aforementioned business when, allegedly, the accused approached him and after an argument he performed several shots with a black pistol, wounding him in the right elbow.
The victim arrived at the Damas hospital, where he was treated by the doctor on duty, who diagnosed a gunshot wound in the right elbow with entry and exit, the Police reported.
The charges were presented by prosecutor Alberto Flores, in conjunction with agents assigned to the Criminal Investigation Corps (CIC) of Ponce.
The preliminary hearing was scheduled for November 1st.
