In a gothic castle, somewhere far away, lives an ancient vampire who terrorizes a maiden.

In a strange land, a man seeks to challenge God and uses the powers of science to bring a monster to life.

In a Latin American country, a military dictatorship takes control of everything and tortures and disappears 30,000 people.

On a Caribbean island, a hurricane destroys everything and in an attempt to save face, a government tries to suppress the true number of deaths caused by its negligence..

This is how the Argentine writer explained it Mariana Enriquez during his conference “Writing Terror in Latin America (and in Spanish)”, which he offered as part of the Second International Congress of Writers held in Caguas.
