Maricao refines its tourism offer to welcome the diaspora as part of the Junte Boricua

The so-called ‘Land of Coffee’ refines its tourist offer to receive dozens of Maricaenos residing in the United States, who will arrive on the Island between May and August as part of the Junte Boricua call.

Its crowning event will be the celebration of the Patron Saint Festivities in honor of San Juan Bautista, from June 21 to 23, when a gathering of the various generations that have grown up in the town is expected, with those who put down roots in different American cities that are now part of the diaspora.

During their stay, visitors will be able to tour the places that characterize this mountainous municipality, which currently has a population of 4,755 inhabitants, according to the 2020 census.

Mayor Wilfredo Ruiz Feliciano expressed that, “for those absent Maricaenos, who I know are going to visit us in the summer, we have for their enjoyment the Stone Tower, the Stone House, the Monte del Estado Vacation Center, the Salto Curet and “Hacienda Juanita, which has been remodeled and is spectacular.”
