NY – The Police NY has a plan to confront possible terrorist attacks against places or events in the LGBTQIA+ community in the city during Pride Month, in June, city Mayor Eric Adams said Tuesday.

He FBI and the Department of Homeland Security issued an alert Friday saying that groups terrorists Foreigners and their supporters “likely” will raise the threat level for Pride Month due to their previous “rhetoric” and “attacks” against this community.

The alert does not refer to specific cities or events.

The mayor of New York reiterated that these threats “are taken very seriously” and that he will mobilize a contingent of uniformed and undercover police officers for surveillance – whose number he did not want to reveal – during the massive Pride parade, on June 30, and in its surroundings.

Adams, who is a former police captain, indicated during his weekly press meeting that police have been monitoring social media to detect possible threats.
