Meet the Puerto Rican student who wants Puerto Rico to win the “Doodle for Google” contest

The Puerto Rican student Luis Javier Corrada Fernandezwho graduates from high school this month, is counting the hours and days not precisely for his graduation, -although he recognizes that it is one of his great achievements-, but for next June 4 when the voting for the contest ends “Doodle for Google of the global company.

Corrada Fernandez, who will graduate this coming Friday, May 31, from Colegio Marista, in Guaynabo, with one of the best academic averages in his class, It is the Puerto Rican representation in the world competition of Googlewhich involves students in kindergarten through fourth grade from the United States or its territories.

The young Puerto Rican competes in the grades 10 to 12 category, being one of the 55 finalists who can win by popular vote. The main winner will receive a $55,000 scholarship for their university studies and another technology item valued at $50,000 for the educational institution that the participant represents.
