As reported on October 14, the day of the death of Gary Nunezdirector of the group Full Freethe musician’s life will be celebrated with a posthumous tribute. The memorial services will take place on Monday, October 30, at the Ehret Funeral Home in San Juan.
“To all the people who loved him so much, we inform you that our Gary will be cremated and in the coming days we will invite you to a public act of remembrance and mourning,” said the bassist’s wife, Valeri Cox, through a press release where announced the death of his romantic partner.
This afternoon, Cox and Plena Libre published the details of the funeral. “We invite you to the act of remembrance and posthumous tribute to my Gary,” the widow wrote alongside the invitation.
The public can meet from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Nunez died at the age of 71 after complications with the pancreatic cancer he suffered from.
“Dear friends. With pain in our souls, my children and I inform you of the death of my Gary (Nunez) this morning. “Gary passed away in our home surrounded by us, his family, and receiving all the love that he sowed throughout his life,” Cox began.
Likewise, on October 9, the music producer and bassist offered some written statements to share with the Puerto Rican people about his state of health. Pancreatic cancer is one of the most aggressive and deadly cancers.

Today it is my turn to face an enormous challenge that, because of the love I have for all the Puerto Rican people and because of the support I have received from you for decades, I feel the need to share with you,” he mentioned.
