No Puerto Rican candidates in the second round of voting for the Major League Baseball All-Star Game

NYAaron Judgeoutfielder for the New York Yankees, and Bryce Harperfirst base of the Philadelphia Phillieswere selected Thursday as starters for the All-Star Game to be held July 16 at GlobeLife Field in Arlington, Texas.

A few hours later, Harper limped off the field with an apparent left thigh injury after hitting the ground ball that marked the final out in Philadelphia’s 7-4 loss to the Miami Marlins.

Harper will undergo imaging tests this Friday.

Judge led Major League Baseball with 3,425,309 fan votes in the first round. He was thus chosen for his sixth American League start in seven All-Star Games.

He was absent from the last edition due to a sprained big toe on his right foot. He was also the player who got the most votes during the first phase of 2022.
