The actresses Norwill Fragoso and Naymed Calzada come together to present the successful theatrical comedy “Radojka”. The work is part of the third edition of the Comedy Festival of the Braulio Castillo Theater and will go on stage November 16 to 19. The piece promises not only to entertain, but also to make everyone in attendance laugh out loud.
Written by Fernando Schmdit and Christian Ibarzabal, “Radojka” focuses on the lives of two women, who are dedicated to caring for an elderly woman named Radojka. The piece takes an unexpected turn when Radojka dies tragically in an accident. Although it might seem like the end of employment for both women, the public does not imagine the twist that the plot would take.
Ismanuel Rodriguez’s direction ensures that the play reaches its maximum potential, while the special participation of the actors Monica Pastrana and Carlos Vega adds an additional touch of humor and playfulness to the work.
“Although it is a very funny comedy, ‘Radojka’ presents us with the struggle between social classes on how to survive in a world managed by the economy and capital. Also, it shows how the working classes have to fight, even among themselves, to survive in that system,” director Ismanuel Rodriguez commented in written statements.
“Radojka” has been a resounding success in Spain and Latin America, becoming one of the highest-grossing works. Now, Puerto Rico will have the opportunity to enjoy this comedy with a first-class cast. The question is, what turn will the lives of both nurses take after Radojka’s death? The answer will only be revealed on the stage of the Braulio Castillo Theater in Bayamon.
