Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray head the list of tennis players confirmed for the Paris Olympics

LondonNovak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray were included in the list for the tennis tournament of the Paris Olympics announced by the International Tennis Federation on Thursday.

Also included was Daniil Medvedevwho will technically compete as a “neutral” athlete and will not represent Russia due to the war in Ukraine.

Djokovic (Serbia) and Murray (UK) are both 37 years old, while Nadal (Spain) is 38 and has several Grand Slam titles to his name. Djokovic has 24 trophies at the majors, but has never won Olympic gold.

Nadal has 22 Grand Slam titles to his name, as well as Olympic golds in singles and doubles in 2008 and 2016. He skipped the grass at Wimbledon to concentrate on the clay in Paris.

Murray, who has three major titles to his name, is the only player to have won consecutive titles at the Games. He has said he intends to retire after the French Open, which runs from July 27 to August 4.
