Over 43,000 Dominicans are preparing to exercise their right to vote this Sunday in Puerto Rico

Schools will be open from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

Although the Dominican diaspora in Puerto Rico is made up of around 200,000 people, those who are eligible to vote number 43,729, said Cedeno Avila.

“We are very happy with how democracy has been strengthened in the Dominican Republic. Democracy is strengthened to the extent that elections are free and transparent. We are very happy, there is a very good enthusiasm regarding these elections, and we are sure that they will be free, transparent and participatory elections,” commented the consul in an interview with The new day.
