Pitcher Julio Urias will serve 36 months of probation after accepting a charge of violence

Mexican pitcher Julio Urias will serve 36 months of probation, after reaching an agreement with the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, United States, whereby he pleaded no contest to a lesser charge of domestic assault.

A spokesperson for the Californian capital’s Prosecutor’s Office explained that, through the agreement, four of the five charges filed against Urias were dropped, including domestic assault, spousal assault, illegal imprisonment and assault.

Along with the sentence of 36 months of probation, The former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher must complete a sentence of 30 days of community service and a domestic violence counseling course lasting 52 weeks or one year.

Urias was arrested in September of last year, after being accused of pushing against a fence and pulling his girlfriend’s hair or shoulders, which led him to spend the night in prison and pay $50,000 bail to be released. .
