Prospect Sabin Ceballos moves to the Mayaguez Indians from San Juan in the Puerto Rican winter league

The Mayaguez Indians reported this Friday that they sent Roberto Enriquez, Brett Rodriguez and Ramon Rodriguez to the ranks of the Senators of San Juan for Sabin Ceballos and Shawn Ross with a view to the 2024-25 Roberto Clemente Professional Baseball League tournament.

The Indians manager Hector Otero announced the transaction through a team press release.

Ross is a 24-year-old catcher who belongs to the Greensboro Grasshoppers, a Class A affiliate of the Pittsburgh Pirates, where he has a batting average of .196 with 36 RBIs, 15 home runs and 32 runs scored so far this season.

For his part, Ceballos, who plays third base and the outfield, stands out with the Rome Emperors, the Class A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, where he has a .275 batting average with 27 RBIs and 22 extra-base hits.
